Skiing
All-round ski pass – in the village a small but excellent family slope with ski school – and then it’s off – in the immediate vicinity there are the most beautiful ski areas south of the Alps. Because – with the right Italian low, we sink into the snow and guarantee skiing until you drop. You want to find out more – then you’ve come to the right place.
Touring skis
Snow and sunshine – the guarantee for unforgettable moments: yes, and that’s exactly what you (almost) always get here. Here, it’s simply more southerly but still snow-sure – especially great when a Genoa low visits us – then there’s powder to the max!
Cross-country skiing
Despite all the other trend sports, cross-country skiing has clearly held its own over the years and is one of the healthiest sports of all. Cross-country skiing in Kötschach-Mauthen and the Upper Gailtal offers you many kilometers of perfectly groomed trails in the heart of the Southern Alps. The new German term for this is Nordic Cruising – and yes, I can only agree with that – gliding over the snow like that is quite something – silence – sunshine and blue skies! Oh boy! A dream!
